100% Syrah 

Perhaps the finest expression of Syrah in the world. The hill of Hermitage is synonymous with behind the scenes strength, elegance, and prestige. It never tries too hard. One for the cellar, but also feel free to approach when younger. 

Tasting notes: Concentrated, intense aromas, a bouquet of black cherries, blackberries and plums bursting through, girded with violets, a touch of leather and white pepper. Elegant yet powerful on the palate, extremely smooth and silky. Age will give it notes of earth, leather, black truffle.

Drink with: Fine quality grilled meats, top end lamb, beef (especially with the delicacy yet robustness of fine Japanese beef), yakiniku. Cheeses and charcuterie boards. Serve at 18C. Drinking window is open now, can also cellar patiently till 2037.

Winemaking notes: From granitic soil slopes at 200-300 metres of altitude. 100% hand harvesting, all grapes destemmed. Fermentation in stainless steel, before ageing 12 months in French oak barrels.
