Domaine La Florane "Je Ne Souffre Plus" Côtes du Rhône Villages 2019

50% Grenache, 50% Syrah, organic and biodynamic, unsulphured

"I don't suffer / sulphur anymore" - a pun that works as well in French as it does in English. A juicy balm for these troubled times, drink up and ease off those worries.

Tasting notes: Super fresh. Explodes with ripe fresh fruits, strawberries, blueberries raspberries, blackberries. Like biting into a big bunch of grapes. 

Drink with: Excellent on its own, lightly chilled as a great way to start an afternoon. Especially good with with semi-hard cheeses, charcuterie, just as you would serve blueberry jam with these foods. The fruits exploding out of this wine are also a great match for anything savoury and grilled. Serve at 18C.

Winemaking notes: From vines grown at 400 metres of altitude, which keeps the freshness in the wine. Pebbly soil. Grapes are destemmed and undergo a short fermentation at a low temperature, before ageing around 5 months in concrete on the lees.
